BHPL Book Groups
BHPL offers several book groups for adults: “Books Speak Volumes”, the Morning Book Group, and the Evening Book Group. Scroll down for more information about each book group. In addition there is also the Mayor’s Wellness Book Club, the Joy of Cookbooking Club , and a book group for teens, see the Teen Events page.

“Books Speak Volumes” Book Group
The Books Speak Volumes group usually meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Check the list of previous Books Speak Volumes reading selections here.
The next discussion meeting will be on Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 pm to discuss A Fever in the Heartland: the Ku Klux Klan’s plot to take over America, and the woman who stopped them by Timothy Egan.

Friday Morning Book Group
The Morning book group usually meets the first Friday of each month at 10:30 am. Check the list of previous morning book group reading selections here.
The October meeting will be on Friday, October 4 at 10:30 am to discuss Have You Seen Luis Velez by Catherine Ryan Hyde.

Tuesday Evening Book Group
The Evening book group usually meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Check the list of previous evening book group reading selections here.
The October meeting will be on Tuesday, October 15 at 7:00 pm to discuss Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler. Breathing Lessons is available on hoopla as an audiobook and may be available on Libby as an eBook.
