BHPL Book Groups

BHPL offers three book groups for adults: “Books Speak Volumes”, the Morning Book Group and the Evening Book Group. The books discussed include a wide variety of fiction, non-fiction and biography titles. Scroll down for more information about each book group. There is also a book group for teens, see the Teen Events page.

“Books Speak Volumes” Book Group

The Books Speak Volumes book group usually meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.

The March meeting will be on Thursday, March 21 at 7 pm to discuss The Wager: a tale of shipwreck, mutiny and murder by David Grann. Some print copies of The Wager are available for checkout; stop by or contact the Circulation Desk at (908) 608-8603 x1. Check Libby for eBook & eAudiobook copies.

Friday Morning Book Group

The Morning book group usually meets the first Friday of each month at 10:30 am. Check the list of previous morning book group reading selections here.

The April meeting will be on Friday, April 5 at 10:30 am to discuss Honor: a novel by Thrity Umrigar. Honor is available as an eBook on both hoopla and Libby.

Tuesday Evening Book Group

The Morning book group usually meets the first Friday of each month at 10:30 am. Check the list of previous evening book group reading selections here.

The April meeting will be on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:15 pm to discuss Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow: a novel by Gabrielle Zevin. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow is on Libby as both an eBook and eAudiobook, but there is a long waitlist for the eBbook.
