BHPL Book Groups
BHPL offers several book groups for adults: “Books Speak Volumes”, the Morning Book Group, and the Evening Book Group. Scroll down for more information about each book group. In addition there is also the Mayor’s Wellness Book Club, the Joy of Cookbooking Club , and a book group for teens, see the Teen Events page.

“Books Speak Volumes” Book Group
The Books Speak Volumes group usually meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Check the list of previous Books Speak Volumes reading selections here.
The April meeting will be on Thursday, April 17 at 7pm to discuss And Justice for All: an oral history of the Japanese American detention camps by John Tateishi.
Some print copies of And Justice for All will be available for checkout; stop by or contact the Circulation Desk at (908) 608-8603 x1.

Friday Morning Book Group
The Morning book group usually meets the first Friday of each month at 10:30 am. Check the list of previous Morning book group reading selections here.
The next meeting will be on Friday, April 4 at 10:30 am to discuss Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell. Some print copies of Hamnet are available for checkout; the eBook may be available on Libby.

Tuesday Evening Book Group
The Evening book group usually meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Check the list of previous Evening book group reading selections here.
