BHPL Book Groups
BHPL offers several book groups for adults: “Books Speak Volumes”, the Morning Book Group, and the Evening Book Group. Scroll down for more information about each book group. In addition there is also the Mayor’s Wellness Book Club, the Joy of Cookbooking Club , and a book group for teens, see the Teen Events page.

“Books Speak Volumes” Book Group
The Books Speak Volumes group usually meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Check the list of previous Books Speak Volumes reading selections here.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, February 20 at 7:00 pm to discuss Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: an inquiry into values by Robert Pirsig.
The March meeting will be on Thursday, March 20 at 7pm to discuss The Vapors: a Southern family, the New York mob, and the rise and fall of Hot Springs, America’s forgotten capital of vice by David Hill.
Some print copies of The Vapors will be available for checkout; stop by or contact the Circulation Desk at (908) 608-8603 x1. The eBook may be available on Libby.

Friday Morning Book Group
The Morning book group usually meets the first Friday of each month at 10:30 am. Check the list of previous Morning book group reading selections here.
The next meeting will be on Friday, March 7 at 10:30 am to discuss Lady Tan’s Circle of Women by Lisa See. Some print copies of Lady Tan’s Circle of Women are available for checkout; the eBook and eAudiobook may be available on Libby.
